MY PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO ALL TENNESSEANS
As the next potential Governor of the State of Tennessee, I am committed to being accessible to all Tennesseans, regardless of urban, suburban, or rural counties, from the highways and byways of the Tennessee Appalachian Mountains, Dunbar Cave, Music Row, Lookout Mountains, Beale Street, to the soybean growers of Tennessee.
We must have a Governor with a proven record of having her finger on the pulse of Tennessee. I have taken care of Tennesseans from Waverly, Erin, Dickson, Clarksville, Union City, Jackson, Pegram, Millington, Mason, Somerville, Atoka, Ashland City, Palmyra, and all across this great state.
I have 40-plus years of service to Tennesseans with the utmost respect and the heart of a public servant. We need a Governor that is unbossed, unbought, and uncompromised to take on the critical issues of these turbulent times, which are forcing Tennesseans to live in a devastating affordability crisis.
As the next Governor of the State of Tennessee, I will adhere to the Tennessee Constitution, Article 1: Sec. 1. All power inherent in the people, Government under their control.
Tenn. Const. Art. I, § 1 - That all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; for the advancement of those ends they have at all times, an unalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.
I pledge to be a conduit to goodwill, protector of unalienable rights, and to restore dignity and pride in our great state.
I am running for Governor to be the voice of cost-burdened, downtrodden, underserved, marginalized, and neglected individuals who deserve a Governor who will be their voice at the table of justice and equality for all. I want to be the Rivulet Governor that runs through the Housing Authority Projects in Nashville and Clarksville, to the Mansions in Hermitage, connecting and ensuring Tennessee solidarity. From Fort Negley, Shiloh to Fort Pillow, I want to address the battle of homeless veterans, not per se historical sites.
I, Carnita Atwater, pledge to give back ¾ (three-fourths) of my salary as the Governor of the State of Tennessee to Tennesseans for homelessness, poverty, child illiteracy, food insecurity, domestic violence, teacher empowerment, farm preservation, mental health counseling, displaced veterans, senior citizen compensation, and ex-felon workforce development.
I will not entertain lobbyists under any circumstances because my loyalty will be to Tennesseans. I am committed to not accepting any PAC or lobbyist donations.
I will place Tennesseans back into politics, hence promoting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to all Tennesseans.
I will place Tennesseans back into the equation of government funding as it relates to quality of life, affordable housing, and small business ownership to grow Tennessee from the bottom up, not top down. Rural Tennessee will be in this economic equation of justice.
I will present the first comprehensive people's agenda plan, known as the Tennessee "Resurrection of Hope."
Historically, I will present the first Tennessee Comprehensive Holistic Crime Prevention Plan, which is a well-thought-out 365-page document based on the input of citizens across the State of Tennessee.
Every Tennessean will have a seat at the table of prosperity regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, creed, religion, gender, disability, or socioeconomic status. As the next Governor, I will be connected and devoted to the people, especially rural Tennessee.
I believe in ONE TENNESSEE! I will “Make Tennessee Whole Again!” Housing, Healthcare, and Healthy Living…
I ask for your humble prayers, commitment to real change for Tennesseans, and the compassion to assist me in leading our Volunteer State into a more unified and loving state for all mankind. It is time to turn the page on the divisive and destructive mindsets that have only hurt Tennesseans who believe in this great state.
I have 40 years of standing with and serving Tennesseans across the State of Tennessee, and that commitment will only intensify when I become the next Governor of the State of Tennessee. I can sprinkle the water of unity to plant the seed of new hope, harmony, and prosperity for all Tennesseans
Join me as I attempt to be the bridge over troubled water. Yes, we can MAKE TENNESSEE WHOLE AGAIN!
