GUBERNATORIAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND MENTORSHIP SUCCESSION PLAN (GYDAMSP)

PROBLEM STATEMENTS:

As the next Governor of the State of Tennessee, it is important to me to have a Succession Plan. Tomorrow's future must have young adults integrated into the political scope of active progression for the betterment of Tennesseans.

(a) The Tennessee General Assembly should have a burst of new ideas, a source of innovative technology, and systemic change to move Tennessee forward. A political position should never be a stagnant political career that harms citizens.

(b) As the next progressive-thinking Governor, the Gubernatorial Youth Development and Mentorship Succession Plan will be a new, innovative succession planning process under the guiding and stewardship of this leadership position. This succession planning will be a great opportunity to prepare young adults for the role of Governor for the future. Its main purpose will be to foster hands-on and day-to-day operational processes for these future possible gubernatorial candidates. This out-of-the-box strategy of succession planning or passing on the leadership role of the Governor will groom these individuals in the event they select to be considered as a gubernatorial possibility one day.

(c) This succession planning tool will be used to identify and develop new potential leaders who can move into political leadership or the gubernatorial role when the position becomes vacant, if they desire to be a candidate for Governor in the future. With this gubernatorial succession plan, voters will have a more astute, career-trained, and service-oriented individual to select from in the future.
